Complex Theorzz (CTz) was founded in 2016 by a small group of friends who were passionate about gaming. Over time, CTz grew into a larger organization with a more diverse roster of gamers.

In 2017, CTz experienced a major setback when a large portion of its roster became inactive and left the organization. Streamers, competitive players, managers, and editors all faded out once summer ended. This led to a period of inactivity for CTz.

It was left up to Shochus to keep the dream alive.

CTz was revived two separate times before 2023, once in 2019 and once in 2021.

In 2023, Complex Theorzz fully rebranded, restructured, and kicked off a new era with a fresh mindset. The logo stayed, but everything else leveled up. CTz started building the CTzFam again and grinding harder than ever.

After 2023, momentum slowed down. Life got busy. Things cooled off again, and for a moment, it looked like Complex Theorzz might fade out for good.

Instead, in early 2025, CTz came back stronger.

This time was different. It wasn’t just a reboot. It was the beginning of what we now call the Unbroken Phase — a chapter built on resilience, smarter moves, and a real passion for gaming that never went away.

Since then, CTz has been growing again with competitive divisions in Madden, Call of Duty, and Marvel Rivals, new streamers joining the team, and a stronger community than ever before.
